Actuator Retrofitting
Actuator retrofitting work means changing your old actuator with a new one. There could be several reasons why you want to do this. Some of them are:
- The actuator is damaged
- The actuator was undersized
- The actuator is obsolete
- Safety Integrity System (SIS) requirement
VOSS has access to engineering expertise that can offer consultancy prior to any retrofitting work. We can size your pneumatic, hydraulic, gas over oil or motor actuators to suit the valves that are currently in use.
We can also check the valve’s required torque at site and verify with the manufacturing value. This exercise results in a more suitable range of actuator sizing for better operation of the valve.
